He is graduated in Computer Engineering from the Technological Institute of Aeronautics (ITA) in Sao José dos Campos and has an MBA from the University of Chicago.
Worked for several years in different segments of the Financial Markets, in Brazil and abroad. He began his career as a Foreign Exchange Trader at Banco Pactual. Later, he was the Head of Derivatives Exchange for Latin America at ABN AMRO in Chicago and the Executive Director and partner at Banco BVA in RJ, where he was responsible for HR, IT, Treasury and controlling areas. He was also Director of Banco Fibra in Sao Paulo in charge of the Retail operations.
Since 2006 in Abril Group, he was Corporate Financial Director and led the restructuring of the company's debts with the banks. As Financial Director of Dinap, he led the acquisition of Fernado Chinaglia’s and the creation of Treelog, a logistics company that belongs to the Group. Later, he was appointed as General Director of Treelog and Fernando Chinaglia’s where, together with the Abril’s Corporate Structures areas, led the process of the companies integration and the approval by the Brazilian Anti-Trust Body (CADE). Until his transfer to Abril Educação he had been in charge of the Financial and Administrative areas, as a Director, of Abril Media - which includes the Editora Abril, MTV Brazil, brands of digital initiatives, Rede Elemídia and Casa Cor.

Roberto Civita was born in Milan in 1936. He graduated in Journalism and in Economics from Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1957.
He holds a postgraduate degree in Sociology from the University of Columbia.
He has since 1968 held the position of Editor in Chief of VEJA. In 1990, he became President of Abril, and currently he is Editorial Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors.
He joined the Company in 2010 and has since then been Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Giancarlo Francesco Civita graduated from ESPM in 1989.
He obtained a post-graduate degree from Harvard Business School in 1991. In 1982, he joined Abril as a trainee in the print.
As of 1990, he has successively held the following positions: Director of TVA Programme Schedules, General Director of MTV, Vice-President of the Thematic Unit, Vice-President of the Entertainment Division and Vice-President of the Young People’s Division.
In February 2003, he left the executive management of the Group to assume the Vice-Presidency of Abril’s Board of Directors, and concurrently set up his own company.
In 2006, he returned to Abril and became Executive Vice-President. In March 2007, he became Executive President of Grupo Abril and took the position of Vice-Chairman of the Company’s Board of Directors.

Victor Civita graduated in Political Sciences from Columbia University in 1989.
In 1990, he joined Abril as Director of Programme Schedules and Production of MTV, being responsible for the implementation of the TV channel in Brazil.

Paulo Roberto Nunes Guedes obtained his Ph.D. degree in Economics from the University of Chicago in 1978.
In 1983, he founded and was the Director of Banco Pactual.
From 1984 to 2004, Paulo Roberto was a partner and Managing Director of IBMEC, one of the main business schools in the country, which became a benchmark in business education in Brazil. In the 1980’s he worked as a teacher at the following institutions: Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, School of Post-Graduation of Fundação Getúlio Vargas and Instituto de Matemática Pura e Aplicada.
In 2007, he founded BR Investimentos, a financial group, and has been its Managing Director since then.
In 2009, he became a member of the Board of Directors of HSM Educação. Currently, he is a weekly columnist of O Globo newspaper and writes for Época magazine every two weeks.

Jonas Miranda Gomes, PhD in Mathematics, Instituto Nacional de Matemática Pura e Aplicada (IMPA), 1984.
From 1985 to 1989, Jonas coordinated the group for development of Computer Graphics technology at Rede Globo.
From 1990 to 1999 he worked as a researcher for IMPA, and was Level I researcher of Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq). He published many scientific works and books on Computer Graphics in Brazil and overseas.
In 1991, he founded IMPA’s group of Research and Development of Computer Graphics. He was one of the founders of Rede Nacional de Pesquisas (RNP) in 1991, a project responsible for the introduction of the Internet in Brazil.
From 2000 to 2003, he was the Managing Director of Internet Novel Technologies S.A., a company investing in participations in emerging and new companies in the area of Information Technology and Communication.
Since 2008, he has been a director of BR Investimentos, where he is one of the co-heads of private equity. He is a member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences, a member of the Board of Directors of IMPA, appointed by Federação das Indústrias do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (FIRJAN), and member of the Technology Council of FIRJAN.

Marcos Antônio Magalhães graduated in Electronic Engineering from Universidade Federal de Pernambuco in 1969.
In 1971, he joined Royal Philips Electronics as an intern, taking over different positions in Brazil and overseas.
In 1996, he became Executive President of Philips do Brasil. In 1997, he also became Executive President of Philips Latin America.
In 2007, he was appointed President of the Advisory Committee of Philips Latin America having completed his term in office in April 2009. He taught Mathematics at Colégio São Luis, Physics at Colégio Nóbrega, Mathematics and Physics at Curso Prof. Heitor Maia, Physics at Colégio Boa Vista, and Servomechanism and Control Theory at Universidade Federal de Pernambuco and at Escola Politécnica. Maria Helena Guimarães de Castro, Bachelor in Political Sciences, UNICAMP, 1980.
