Abril Educação hires executive and announces changes in the staff of the Holding Company's administration.

Daniela Menusier has been hired as Director for Business Development and Special Projects of Abril Educação, reporting to CEO Manoel Amorim. Daniela comes from Banco Santander, where she was Executive Director for Strategic Planning, a position where she advised the CEO on various strategic reviews of the businesses, financial planning and evaluation of opportunities for partnerships and sale of assets. She was also responsible for the area of Acquisition of Maxi Learning System of Banco Real and represented the Bank on Audit Committees of Fidelity and Cielo (Visanet). Previously, as a project manager with ATKearney, Daniela led retail segmentation and card projects. She is graduated in Production Engineering from the Escola Politécnica - USP and has an MBA -- with high distinction – from the University of Michigan Business School in the USA.


Ektor Passini, current Institutional Relations Manager of Abril Educação - Publishing Houses, is promoted to Institutional Relations Director of Abril Educação as from this date, directly reporting to Manoel Amorim. With over 16 years experience in Public Relations, he started his career as a consultant with the World Bank for the IEB Program – Basic Education Innovation Program. Concurrently, he was working for the State Government of São Paulo as an assistant to the State Department of Education and as a manager for government programs. In 1998, he was appointed State Director for public policies for the youth by Governor Mário Covas and from 2001 to 2005, he was Coordinator for Institutional Relations of Fundação Victor Civita ‐ FVC, having returned to the Grupo Abril as a consultant of Publishing houses Ática and Scipione in January 2009.


Now also reporting to Manoel Amorim is Ana Teresa Ralston,Director of Education Technology and Teacher Training, , the scope of her work has expanded since last February when the Technology team of Anglo joined. Ana Teresa is an educator. Graduated from Mackenzie with a Corporate MBA – Further Education Program – Public Sector of USP, Microsoft Brasil, where she worked for six years. She was a teacher at Colégio Dante Alighieri and has provided services as a consultant to the Centro de Pesquisa Escola do Futuro, at USP, and to Viabiliza Tecnologia Educacional. She also worked at Grupo Klick as a Director of Educational Technology, as well as developing educational projects with TV Cultura, where she worked before joining Abril Educação.
